The April 2008 edition of Outdoor Life's list of top towns to live in for access to hunting and fishing named Lewiston as the #2 place to live & enjoy the outdoors. 
Last year's article in National Geographic Adventure magazine placed Lewiston as one of the best places to buy a home, and another recognition from an insurance group placed Lewiston as the 6th safest & secure place to live in the United States.
